Ultimate Nashville Weekend

Friday

Start the weekend on 12 South. Frothy Monkey has great coffee and breakfast. After coffee, take pictures at iconic 12 South murals. I Believe in Nashville, Nashville Looks Good on You, Make Music Not War, and the floral mural at Green Pea Salon are all within walking distance. Walk down 12thAvenue and you can’t miss them! 12 South gets pretty busy on the weekends, so I recommend going on a weekday. After you’ve worked up an appetite getting those pictures, great lunch places are a walk away. Some favorites are Burger Up, Bar Taco, Edley’s BBQ, Urban Grub, Mafiaoza’s Pizza, and Josephine. For dessert, check out Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream or Five Daughters Bakery for 100 layer cronuts. Make sure you stop by Draper James for a complimentary iced tea while you shop. For drinks, try Old Smoky Moonshine Distillery or YeeHaw Brewing. If you are a cider drinker, Diskin Cider has tons on tap. For dinner, go to the Bluebird Café for an intimate music experience. Make sure you get tickets in advance because it does sell out quickly! They do offer walk-ups, but seats are not guaranteed.

Saturday

Butcher & Bee in East Nashville is one of my favorite places to brunch. Make sure you get the whipped feta appetizer. For a party atmosphere, The Ainsworth is a popular choice. Then, stop by Cheekwood Gardens to see the beautiful sights. If you want to see the town, a party bus from Honky Tonk Express is a great time. Taking a group party bike with the Pedal Tavern is another must-do. Remember to BYOB on the bike and bus if you want to drink. Pinewood Social is also a great day activity if the weather is rainy. For lunch, you must try Nashville’s Famous hot chicken. Hattie B’s, Party Fowl, and Prince’s Hot Chicken are all good options. Then, get pre-dinner drinks at a rooftop bar. LA Jackson, L27 Rooftop Lounge, and Up, A Rooftop Lounge are all great options. For dinner, check out House of Cards, Bakersfield Tacos, Bourbon Steak, or Pancho & Lefty’s. You are walking distance from Broadway, so go get your honky tonk on! Walk up and down the strip and pop into wherever is playing live music you like!

Sunday

Start off Sunday Funday with brunch at Adele’s. For a more casual breakfast, Proper Bagel is SO good. Then, spend the day at Arrington Vineyards. You can bring your own snacks or order a charcuterie board or snacks in advance. The vineyard will provide glasses, so don’t worry about that!
